After our lovely 5km walk and a swim for Georgia, we took a trip back up the coast to visit the Greencape Lighthouse. The trip off the Princes Highway is about 25km with most of this on dirt. The lighthouse itself is within the Ben Boyd National Park.

It is a great drive in, slow and a bit windy but the road was in good condition. The first stop was Disaster Bay viewing platform. The bay was named aptly because there had been many 'Disasters' here!!

On we went to the end of the road where the Greencape Lighthouse stands. Recently painted a crisp white and surrounded by a heritage listed federation style home, the views were magic. The Lighthouse stands at 4 stories tall and the home is available for hirer.

Also a little visitor greeted us - a wombat!!
