Bemm River

After leaving Mallacoota we had originally decide we were going to head to Paynesville but along the way we spotted a sign for Bemm River and decided to investigate.

25km off the Princes Highway we came into Bemm River. A small town with about 30 houses, a caravan park, a boat ramp and Jetty, a shop for everything and of course a pub!

It was a nice quiet spot so we parked up for $25 per night at the caravan park. Can I just say they have the second best bathrooms that I have ever visited to date!!

We had a cheeky beer and also dinner at the pub - the first date night out on tour!

We visited some of the local beaches - Ocean Beach and Pearl Point. Trent had a swim at Pearl Point - water was freezing but it looked beautiful from the lookout!!

There had been a local fishing comp the weekend before we arrived and the local ‘bragging’ board had some decent sized fish. Plenty of salmon, bream, Taylor and flathead had been caught.
