Nagambie and surrounds

A stay at Nagambie, home to Black Caviar lead us to visit a number of small country towns and a city. 

First stop was Bendigo, a bustling city - Sydney could learn a thing or two about trams 🚋!!  A stunning city with beautiful gardens close to the main city centre. 

A trip to Castlemaine followed. This is where Burke and Willis stopped when they crossed from Carpentaria. A beautiful monument stands overlooking the town. 

A passage back in time with a visit to Echuca. Steamboats along the Murray reminiscent of yesteryear. A gorgeous town which has been true to keeping its history alive.
