We left Trial Harbour behind and headed for Arthur River via he Corinna Ferry. The ferry takes one vehicle at a time - max length front axel to back axel if 9 meters and 9 tonne max weight. Cost is $25 for car or $30 towing.
The road is mostly gravel with seal in windy and steep parts. The drive itself is stunning. High amongst the high country grasses and also trees although fires have hit the area badly in the past couple of years.
Whilst the drive is slow - max 80km it is steep but so worth it. The view once you hit the top is nothing more than stunning. A few rivers along the route which look inviting!
It is a good 2-3 hour drive but worth it as the West Coast is so untouched.
