After having a week hanging with the Friend family we had an overnight stop to catch up with the Fitzgerald’s in Geelong. Thanks KWong for organizing!!
Warrnambool Hopkins River Big 4 had been recommended to us so we spent 2 nights - $40 a night. Great facilities here for families and access to the river.
From here we did a day trip back along the Great Ocean Rd in hope of seeing the 12 Apostles - way too many tourists late in the afternoon!! We did however check out The Bay of Island and Martyrs, The Arch, The Grotto and London Bridge.
These rock formations really are something to be seen if geology is your thing. You can see how the ocean has carved away at the coastline over many centuries leaving these formations jutting out of the ocean.
We finished off our day with a stop at one of the oldest pubs in Australia - Boggy Creek Pub c1883. Gorgeous pub set overlooking the local river. Has a great outdoor area and according to the publicans son, the best Parma voted by the locals!

We left Warrnambool and headed to Killarney Cricket Ground to catch up with our friends - The Quinn Family.
