Discovery Park Big 4 Robe has a deal 4 nights for 3 further discounted for being a member so we decided we would spend a few days chilling out. Can I just say, this place has the best playground I have ever seen for kids!
Robe is a small fishing village full of history. Robe was established as a port in 1847, becoming the busiest outside of Adelaide in the 1850’s. There is an Obelisk on Cape Dombey built in 1852 as a marker for ships. There are many shipwrecks along this part of the South Australian coastline. Remains of the Jail can be seen as well as Customs House which is Heritage Listed.
Many of the houses and pubs in the Main St date back to the early 1800’s and have stories to tell. There is also a nice mariner, beautiful long beach which you can drive on at low tide to Kingston and we have been told great fishing!

There are also Conservation Areas and National Parks on the doorstep. We took a drive to Nora Creina stopping off to check out the beach. We wished it had been a calm day as this was a beautiful spot to kick back for the day. It should be noted there are 2 naturist parks here😜!
